STORYLINE:

In the morning in a onions field near Dolni Voden, some 200 kilometres (130 miles) east of Bulgaria's capital Sofia, farm family is busy picking onions and beans for the Kurban as another fellow-villagers carve veal and prepare it for boil in the night of the first day of the prayer and stir the Kurban on the next day.

The time between the end of June until the beginning of September is the driest season in Bulgaria.

Every June and first week of July for the past twenty years the Muslim community living at the villages located at the central part of Bulgaria and live mostly by agricultural farming made their traditional Kurban prayer and festival for rain and rich harvest.
