Bulgarian and US soldiers take part in a joint military exercise with Bulgarian and US army soldiers at Novo Selo military base east of the capital Sofia Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009. The exercise has allowed U.S. and Bulgarian personnel to familiarize themselves with each others operations. The exercise also strengthened Novo Selo military base as a host to U.S. forces as a training facility.
